What is ECAT and who should take it?
ECAT is for students who want to study engineering. It is a multiple-choice test built on Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry at FSc Pre-Engineering or ICS level, plus English.
Pattern, syllabus and dates are decided by the university that conducts it, so check the official notification each year. This page is a preparation guide, not the official notice.
What you get for ECAT in the Creative Taleem app
Creative Taleem is built as an online academy and digital academy in one app. These are the tools every student gets, whichever level they study:
- 2 lakh+ MCQs across the whole app, for chapter-wise, topic-wise and custom practice.
- Live classes with chat, and the recording in 1–5 minutes after class if you miss it.
- Recorded lectures chapter by chapter, with Ask AI, a summary, flashcards and a quiz inside each lecture.
- Ustad Gee AI tutor that answers in Urdu, English or Roman Urdu at any hour.
- Quizzes and practice tests to check a single chapter or a whole syllabus.
- Smart revision, smart notes and past papers for the weeks before an exam.
- Progress tracking for attendance, study time and weak topics.
- My Study and offline downloads to save what you need and learn without internet.
- Android app and web portal, so you can switch between phone and laptop.
Matric students also get a dedicated supply and improvement batch, plus free textbooks and guess papers on the website. See Matric online classes for details.

How to prepare for ECAT online
- Make Maths your daily habit. Solve problems by hand every day. Speed comes from repetition.
- Connect Physics to formulas. Know where each formula comes from, so you can rebuild it under pressure.
- Do not skip Chemistry and English. They are the easiest marks to protect with steady revision.
- Time every practice set. A correct answer after the clock has run out does not help in the hall.
- Review mistakes in a notebook. Write down the topic, the error and the fix. Reread it before the test.
One app, one plan, every level
ECAT students use the same app and the same plan page as Matric, FSc, ICS, MDCAT and ECAT students. There is no separate download to find. Which batches and subjects are open right now is shown on the pricing page and inside the app.
New here? Start with the free app, look around, and pick a batch when you are ready. If you want a person to ask, the team answers on WhatsApp.
Alongside ECAT
Your intermediate marks matter as well. See FSc online classes for Pre-Engineering, or ICS online classes if you study Computer Science.
Frequently asked questions
What is ECAT?
ECAT is the Engineering College Admission Test, the entry test used for admission to engineering programmes at UET Lahore and the colleges that use its merit list.
Which subjects does ECAT cover?
The main subjects are Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English, taken from the FSc Pre-Engineering or ICS syllabus. Confirm the current pattern and syllabus in the official notification for your year.
Does Creative Taleem offer ECAT online preparation?
Yes, in the same app as FSc, ICS and Matric. The batches that are open right now are listed on the pricing page and inside the app.
Can ICS students prepare for ECAT?
Many ICS students do. Mathematics and Physics are the heart of the test, and ICS covers both. Read the ICS page for the subject plan.
When should I start?
Build a strong Maths and Physics base in 11th class, begin timed practice in 12th class, and use the last weeks for revision and past papers.
Can an academy guarantee admission or marks?
No. We cannot honestly promise a score or a seat. We provide lectures, quizzes, revision and an AI tutor so that your preparation is organised.
